The Welcome Bundles are a gift for the new baby. As such, baby clothes should be nearly new/gently worn with no tears or stains in sizes 0-6 month. They do not need to be new, in fact lovingly used is preferred. Items needed include sleepers, nightgowns, buntings, onesies, pants, shirts, dresses, overalls, snowsuits, sweaters, outfits, jackets, booties, hats, bibs, and snowsuits. (Out of season clothing is welcome). Also included are knit hats and booties, lap/stroller blankets and new board books. The poem below and a small baby toy or stuffed animal is tied with a ribbon to the top of each Welcome Bundle. Please email storkproject@aol.com to arrange for pick up. Donations can be picked up at your home or at a public location.
I hope my children will look back on today
And see a mother who had time to play. There will be years for cleaning and cooking But children grow up while we're not looking. Dusting and scrubbing can wait 'till tomorrow For babies grow fast we learn to our sorrow. So quiet down cobwebs and dust go to sleep I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep. Now that I have the "Storkmobile" I can also accept gently used pack and plays, bassinets, full sized strollers, swings, bouncy seats, tummy time mats, and high chairs. While this is not the main mission, I am always happy to pass along these greatly needed items. Please check out the current wish list. |
